Which records matter most?
Bring drainage and operation reports, original MRI images and report, and any endoscopy or biopsy results. Note seton location and insertion date. Missing paperwork should not delay urgent care.
Build a short timeline
List the first abscess, procedures, improvement and returning symptoms. Include continence before and after treatment, medicines, allergies and Crohn’s disease. Separate known facts from assumptions.
Which questions define the visit?
What needs treatment now? Does infection need drainage before closure? Which options protect continence? Request a written plan and follow-up date. Intimate photographs through insecure channels are not necessary to arrange an appointment.

References support general information; preparation examples and questions do not select an individual treatment plan.
