A hypothetical “hemorrhoids coming out” scenario
A person reports protruding tissue, mucus and cleaning difficulty. Hemorrhoids is their description, not yet an established diagnosis. This is a composite educational example.
What must examination establish?
Is the tissue hemorrhoidal prolapse or prolapsing rectal wall? Does it reduce, and what are continence and evacuation like? Treatment differs; a symptom label cannot select banding or excision.
The lesson for the patient
Describe what happens and its relation to bowel movements. Leave tissue identification to examination. Severely painful, dark or irreducible protrusion needs urgent assessment.

References support general information; preparation examples and questions do not select an individual treatment plan.
